It's freaking S-U-M-M-E-R already guys!!! It's our second year of being in summer quarantine and I'm really wishing that we could spend our longer days travelling and going to different places we saved up for. I'm currently dreaming of Tokyo and I'm crossing my fingers to travel to that place first when international travels are back again. As of now, since we now have a beach house in my grandparents' hometown, I'm now living by the beach and really crossing my fingers to bring as much friends as I could while it's still hot and ideal for sun bathing! If only I could invite everyone I definitely would!!

Since it's summer and we're in the middle of a hot and even humid weather condition there's something that we all should be keeping in mind to-- STAY HYDRATED & DRINK MORE WATER. I know some of you are already travelling to different places whether out of country or town-- going on trekking, hiking, glamping and adventures. One thing I would suggest is to never forget to bring your water bottles with you.

Water bottle is an essential part of our everyday lives now. Even if I am just inside our house I carry my own water bottle with me just so I will be reminded to drink and stay hydrated from time to time. Whenever I eat outside in restaurants or go to a friend's place I always carry my own water bottle with me. I became very conscious since this pandemic started and decided to have my own go- to utensils every time I eat outside (including the bottle I drink) just to prevent sharing of personal belongings and the transmission of viruses. I know some of you can relate to it. Lastly I always bring a water bottle with me especially on long drives since I drink water a lot and I couldn't stand not drinking in an hour.

Speaking of water bottles I'm currently obsessing on Amazon's ombre water bottle!!! Let me tell you the 5 reasons why I love this KEEPTO water bottle:

First, I fell in love with its color the first time I saw it. Ombre is just so in this summer and I wouldn't mind bringing it with me anytime and anywhere. I love how stylish it is!

Second, I love the unique motivational prints that they put in there. Even if you're not a religious water drinker you will feel motivated to finish a whole bottle.

Third, it has a silicone straw which allows you to enjoy a spill proof sipping. It makes it very convenient especially during long drives and road trips.

Fourth, I love that it comes in different sizes-- 32 oz, 64 oz and 128 oz and is still portable and easy to carry even if it can contain up to 128 oz because of its multiway carrying design.

Fifth, It looks really cute and aesthetically pleasing that you wouldn't mind carrying this water bottle anywhere you go!

If you wish to purchase this Keepto water bottle you may find this at Amazon's website and score it for as low as $16.99.

Don't forget to stay hyrdated and drink lots of water!!! See you in my next posts!

xoxo,

Hey everyone! How's your weekend going so far? Mine is doing great as I am quite busy lately with all the orders that I am baking from my kitchen. I have promised to publish our beach house staycation next but because there are still missing details for the post I decided to put it on hold and share the next content that I have already prepared. I've been spending most of my time the whole week in our kitchen baking and trying new pastries to release in Shai Bakes menu. Btw, if you still don't know yet I have opened an online business last year and sell home baked goods that I did myself. While I am brainstorming and doing trials for my next products I also did some sort of personal cooking and baking and decided to take photos of it to share online. I'm not a professional baker nor cook but I want to share with you these 2 healthy recipes that I made out of scratch.

My mom used to buy apples for us every time she goes to the market. Apple is a staple fruit that never runs out in our kitchen. One time while I was left alone in our house and has no left prepared meal I grabbed an apple and decided to search online on what recipes can I make out of that apple on my hand. Google answered and showed me results such as apple pie, caramel apples or apple bars. Being quite hungry already during that time I decided to go and grab rolled oats to fill in my stomach leaving behind the apple that I have. That gave me an idea to make an oatmeal prep out of what I have in hand.
Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal is what I came up with. I've been watching too many youtube channels of my favorite vloggers and came up experimenting my own version of it. Here's how I did mine:

Ingredients:

1/2 whole apple (cleaned and sliced)
1/2 tbsp of butter
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup water
1/2 cup rolled oats
A pinch of salt
1/2 tsp of vanilla
Milk (optional)
1 tsp sugar

Instructions:

1. In a pan add the sliced apples and butter and cook in a low- medium heat until apples are tender and crisp.
2. Stir in cinnamon and cook for at least a minute. Some people put nutmeg in their recipe but I personally didn't because I feel like it might already overpower the taste and flavor of the apple.
3. Bring in the oats and water. The ratio of the water to the oats is always 2:1. Bring it to a boil, stir often until you have come to reach the desired tenderness.
4. Once cooked and done remove the heat from the pan and put on the sugar or any kind of sweetener that you have-- maple syrup. Pour in the vanilla and salt too to make it balanced.
5. This is optional but I had mine poured with a milk.

If you are on a diet then this recipe is definitely what you need to try. Would you dare step up and put an upgrade to your usual stove top breakfast meal?

Next on the list is my favorite Apple Cinnamon Muffin. This is supposedly a loaf bread but because my loaf pans were all occupied that time I decided to make it a muffin instead. I followed this recipe from my favorite youtuber, Laura in the Kitchen. I just did a little substitute from her other ingredients plus I decided to omit the latter procedures since I'm making muffins instead of a loaf. Here it is:

For the batter:
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla
1 1/2 cups APF
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup whole milk

For the apple  mixture:
1 large apple cut into small pieces
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Grease and line your cupcake pan and set aside.
2. In a bowl mix together all the dry ingredients and set aside. In another bowl, using an electric mixer, mix together the wet ingredients until everything is incorporated. Lastly add the dry and wet ingredients and mix until combined. You may set the batter aside while you work on the next step.
3. In a bowl combine together the apples, brown sugar and cinnamon.
4. Spread half the batter in your prepared pan, layer half of the apple mixture then pour again the remaining batter and top with the remaining apple mixture.
5. Bake for about 20-25 minutes then allow to cool on a wire rack
6. I decided to drizzle on some cream cheese frosting on top since I have some left from my red velvet cupcakes.
There you have it! The recipe can give you 12-15 muffins to enjoy. I really love how fluffy and moist these muffins turned out. It is an instant favorite to everyone in our house. This recipe is very easy to bake and a healthy apple recipe to make. If you want the original recipe from Laura in the Kitchen (It's a loaf recipe) I'll be linking it here on the blog.

As I look back on how last year have went I feel so blessed and thankful to have survived the world's probably worst year of pandemic. I have my fair share of breakdowns and victories too and I promised that I will do everything to make this year a whole lot better than the previous one. I know 2020 gave me hopeless resolutions but I still wrote mine this year with high hopes that I will be able to make it. Fortunately, 2021 started smooth and fine. Our first project of the year (and my mom's long term dream is finally coming into reality!!!) I'm talking about our beach house. It's currently on its 1st week of construction already but I haven't seen it yet on the actual site. This beach house is actually a dream come true. It's not really grand- just a small and simple one but what I'm proud of is that it's the fruit of my mom and I's hardwork. I'm no longer going in to details as to how the design of the house looks like but I will for sure give you a glimpse of it once it's fully done.
With all the house construction that's happening the pinterest girl in me is so happy! I've been saving house interior ideas almost every week and what I'm so hooked up is the idea of placing accent walls and aesthetic spots in our future house. I came across @photowall_sweden on instagram and found myself scrolling non stop for ideas. Lo & behold, I found the perfect shop! Photowall is a Swedish company brand that specializes on wall art designs such as murals, wallpapers, paintings and canvas. They have the most beautiful designs and I felt the need to start investing and start it from their shop.
I wasn't able to decide at first what I should get from the shop because I have added to cart around 7-9 canvas designs. As I was browsing through the designs that I picked this world map in blue watercolor gave me the idea that it will be the best choice of design to put in our house. I'm so excited to unbox it when it arrived. It took a week or less to arrive and it still amazes me because it came all the way from Europe! They prepared it as early as I placed my order from their site. I didn't expect it to be really big in person too! Ang gandaa! Super nakakatuwa from the moment Pau and I unboxed it up until we assembled it. It gives me the daily dose of motivation to study and work harder to save and travel again when it's already safe and exciting. It makes me realize how big the world is, how opportunities are endless and how beautiful this world can be.

Here's a little treat to all of you- Get 25% off on your purchase when you use my code: missdreamgirl25 upon checkout. This code is valid for only one month! It's already a big steal!

This canvas also gives me the homey and calm feeling every time I look at it. What more if it's already hanging on the wall of our house with the overlooking view of the ocean right? For now, I'll be keeping it with me while the whole construction is still ongoing and I will update you with a new post of how the interior design went and where this canvas gained its spot! I'm so excited for my update soon!

You can also check out Photowall thru their site for beautiful finds and their instagram page for a daily dose of inspiration and ideas! Thank you so much, Photowall Sweden for this beautiful start up and investment decor for our home. I can't wait to bring and hang it soon!

xoxo,

Crazy how this blog has reached a lot of audience and readers already, how long it is still standing and how many collaborations I've partnered with since I started. I still have so many dreams for this blog and one is to work as a full time blogger/writer. I love to experience working with big brands and just accept collaborations everyday. As much I wanted to, I'd love to publish posts everyday and express more of myself through writing. How I wish I can split myself into 3 and do blogging, baking, and my work as a full time dentist (soon) at the same time. I know that wouldn't be possible though but as much as I can I try to balance everything so nothing will be left out. As I was saying, I'm happy this blog has made me share my full experiences with products sent to me for reviews. I've always poured my heart in every post published and always gives my unbiased opinion. From clothes, jewelries, cosmetics, foods, travel and now skincare! I have not ever thought of doing one before but here it is!
Today's product that I want to talk about is one of my skin's holy grail. I'm not being exaggerated about this but this is the reality. Ever since I was young I already have a sensitive skin. My mom brings me to the dermatologist at the age of 5 because I always develop allergies every time something is applied on my skin. As I grow older I've been more curious about some products that I watched from vlogs and decided to try some that concerns my skin- products for dry skin, whitening, uv protection, hydrating- everything! I've tried a few which are "hypoallergenic" but they only emphasized a few of my concerns and not as a whole. I know it's hard to find a product where I can get my needs satisfied all in one. But you know what I'm so happy that finally after years of searching and trying I finally found my holy grail- Skinclass.

Skinclass has two powerful products that I both love. First is the Milky White Body Scrub. I haven't been educated with that much information about scrubs before and that's the reason why I seldom use it. I have used once before but I wasn't consistent with it because maybe I didn't get to see any result that's changing on my skin. I tried to use one again when I received this milky white body scrub and I must say that it's now part of my routine. I have consumed 2 containers and the reason behind is first- my little bumps (bacne) have slowly regressed and second, I feel like I'm literally applying a milk on my body! I love the fragrance. I smell like a baby!!! This milky white scrub has a powerful exfoliating effect that restores my skin's natural glow back in motion. I use it 3-4x a week and leave it for 5 minutes on my body skin before I wash it. :)
Another product from Skinclass collection is my favorite, Milky white cream. I don't use lotion before. I had a few bad experiences with lotion. First is when I had an allergy because of the strong smell of the lotion I applied on my body and second is when I felt so oily and sticky with the heavy body cream that I applied. From then on, I had a little trauma on applying any cream on my body which left my skin really dry. I was a bit hesitant to try this product before because I don't use any cream anymore but when a friend recommended me to try it, I just can't say no! I applied it first on a little part of my arm. The first thing that I noticed is the smell! It's honeydew and it's so fragrant! I'm waiting for the allergic reaction to happen or series of runny nose episode but thank God I didn't experienced anything. I started applying it in my whole body and got that fresh and moisturized feels. I'm so happy too that it doesn't felt sticky at all!!!
Other than those I have mentioned, I love the fact that it has UVA/UVB protection and perfect for persons who are always on the go like me! It's also applicable for all skin types, 100% vegan and cruelty free!
I will forever be thankful for being introduced to these products. They're not only good but also affordable products that you can try! For less than Php 500 you can already have both! For orders and inquiries you can message me or you can directly message their fb page- Skinclass Batangas City. I hope these products can help you in your body skin problems too. If you're reading this and or currently using it too, leave your thoughts, comments and experiences about this product on the comment section below. :)
See you in my next posts!

Weddings, dresses, preparations- these are some of the things that excites me every time I hear it. I'm so in love with being part of weddings whether as a guest but most especially if I'm on the list of the entourage.  Dressing up, putting on makeup, wearing fancy dresses and high heels are things that I look forward to also about being a bridesmaid. I've encountered and wore a lot of bridesmaid's dresses and I think, I already mastered the perfect dresses that I want my future bridesmaids to wear on my future wedding day.
This dress from the picture above is the perfect example of my "all-in-one" kind of dress. First is the color. Even though I love all shades of pink, I'd love my future entourage to wear dresses in red wine color with a touch of gold accessories. For me, it gives off that festive with full of love feels! I mean, you want to feel that everyone's celebrating with you on your wedding day! It's such a nice and happy color to dwell on for a dress. Second is, I want a chiffon dress. Chiffon gives off that flowy, princess like feels every time you're wearing it. I want my bridesmaids to look at their best and feel that they're beautiful on that special day. Aside from that, chiffon looks elegant in any angle. It's also lightweight that you won't be having a hard time wearing it for the whole day.

Third, I want a "V" neckline for the style of the dresses. Not that deep though, just a little heart shaped one. It makes the whole look sweet and playful. Lastly, I'd love to make an eye catcher side slit for my future bridesmaids' dresses. I've always wanted to wear a dress with a side slit but none of the previous weddings that I had attended to had that kind of dress' style. For me it instantly makes a whole look classy, elegant and polished. I also loved that fact that it can highlight the legs (I know my future bridesmaids have nice legs hahaha!) and I want them to show it off and not just hide it underneath the dress.
I hope my future entourage would be able to read this so they will have an idea of what their future dresses would look like! Hahahaha! I know they will love and appreciate it too! I know I'm still young to prepare and think of things like this but honestly, it always excites me every time! If you're a soon to be bride and you also consider my tips and wants for my affordable chiffon bridesmaid dresses ideas, thank you in advance and know that you can message me or email me so I can help you put together  your ideas! It will be much appreciated!

Thanks for reading! See you in my next posts! :)

Hey guys! As promised, I will be updating my blog more often starting this week because I really missed this online platform that I have. It's my way of expressing my thoughts and my way of telling stories from my own perspective that I want to share with all my readers. As for my comeback, I decided to put on a category on my blog titled "Shai Recommends". In here, I'll put on my recently discovered items that I'm so addicted about, the online shopping websites that I love- their items present on their site and on SALE products and the foods that I've always wanted to share with everyone. For my first entry, I want to share with you one of my recently discovered online shopping website, Hexinfashion.

It's that time of the year again when Autumn has finally come and is much appreciated in every country that experiences 4 seasons. I know everyone has prepared for their outfits already but with another season coming (my favorite), going in autumn outfit is not enough to combat the cold weather in winter. I know most of you are already preparing for it and a lot are starting to buy added warmers, heat techs and sweaters. I have been addicted browsing an online shop that I've recently discovered that sells cheap sweater dresses that have the cutest cuts and styles! I thought of sharing it here on the blog because this online shop is worth sharing for! Let me show you some of my recommendations.

This is the first dress that got my attention! Look how classy it looks. The color is perfect but if there's a color red of this dress, I'd probably get it too. I love the fit of this dress on the model and the shoulder detail made it sexy while being conservative. This is something I'd probably wear in a holiday reunion with my family.

Here's to my second loved sweater dress. Look at the cut! I know it's going to be a versatile one since it can be worn either at the back or front. It's looks so damn sexy! I also love the vertical pattern that it has. It makes one look slimmer. I'd probably wear this to a night out with friends on the holidays.

Third eye catcher is this mystic blue dress. I love the conservative yet sexy slit on the side. I love that Hexin also caters plus size dresses like this one. It's a plus for me! :)

Aside from sweater dresses, another category that I loved from this shop is their cheap bodysuits best Black Friday Deals 2020. I'm a fan of bodysuits (it makes the look fitted and well polished) and when I get to see the items that they have, I instantly fell in love with it! Here's some of my favorites!

There you go! You may visit their website for more affordable and chic finds! Thanks for dropping by my site. I can't wait to share with you more posts soon!
