Hey guysss! I've noticed lately how my blog had evolved from being only a fashion and style blog to a "fashion & style + travel blog". I've started documenting my recent travels on my blog that you can view by clicking "Travel" under the section Label on the sidebar or you may check some of my favorite pictures with the hashtag #SAMsDIYtravels on instagram.

My grandparents' hometown, Pagkilatan, has become a popular destination in Batangas because of its beautiful beaches top with the development of Monte Maria Batangas. I've always thought how lucky I am to be spending every weekend in this place without having to spend too much to experience the fullness and relaxation of a 2 days vacation by the beach. I don't usually document my stay in my grandparents' because it just feels like a normal routine for me every weekend to go there but last Sunday was different since I invited 2 guests to spend their weekend with me. Here's my very first take in doing a DIY Day tour in Pagkilatan. And since I have started doing this I know there will be more to come after this post!

For a hassle free ride, I suggest you drive your own private car (40 minutes away from SM Batangas to Pagkilatan) than commute. If you wish to commute you can take the jeepneys with Batangas-Ilijan or Batangas-Dela Paz/ Pulot signs which leaves every 1 hour in SM Batangas. I think the first trip is at 8:30 in the morning and the fare costs Php 45 one way. There are already resorts in Pagkilatan wherein you can stay for day tours and overnights but if you want a more private and serene place to stay I suggest you to book Jevictoria Breeze Beach House. These pictures were taken there. They also have a kayak for rent just in case you want to do some activity in their beach house. What's a tour without some foods? Located just a few minutes away from Monte Maria is Bihiya's Food House. You can try some of their famous Batangas treats like Loming Batangas and goto (must tryyy!!), halo-halo, burger (I think this is the best seller because people keep on coming back for this), chicken wings and more!

Before you end your trip make sure to visit Monte Maria Shrine. I suggest you go there during sunset. I've been to many places and witness a lot of sunsets (Cebu, Boracay, Bohol, Palawan) but this place in Batangas still got the first spot in my heart.

Every Dentistry Night that I have attended since my first has its own distinction from the other ones. I can still remember my first Dent Night experience with the theme Vintage. It was my first time to experience a prom like event because we don't have that in High School. Our second year was Vegas themed where I dressed up in full sequins! It was that year wherein I enjoyed the company of my classmates the most. Third Year was Victoria's Secret themed. It was the grandest dent night to date. I can still remember the runway and their lavish outfits! Fourth Year was the year I felt the most beautiful. It was the year I was crowned as Ms. Dentistry. Fifth Year was the most memorable year for me. Havana was the theme. It was the year wherein I loved my look the most. Last night was our 6th and last dent night. The theme was Retro. It was the simplest dent night I've attended to. Dinner-Runway-After Party. I'm not complaining though because I still enjoyed the whole night with Shobe to the point that we stayed until the after party and left until the last song of the band. Hahaha! Congrats to the whole Dentistry Council for pulling off this Retro themed one! :)

Outfit. There's no concrete plan on what to wear for Dent Night. The theme is Retro and I have no prepared outfit for it. 4 days prior to the event a package from Shein arrived. I knew I ordered beach outfits so I was hesitant to get my dent night outfit from there. But, when my friends saw my haul they told me I can wear this jumpsuit that I'm wearing. Hey guysss! It's been weeks since I last posted here. I'm sorry for the long hiatus. I've been so so busy and stressed with school :( that I needed to focus and allocate more time in doing school stuffs. But anyway, before I get into more SERIOUS school stuffs (yes, there's more serious and harder part huhu) I want to share with you a review of my recent order online.

Aside from clothes- dresses, bags, shoes you name it, I'm now also fond of ordering consumer electronics. I think my boyfriend influenced me the most when it comes to things like this. I recently ordered a LED Bluetooth Speaker from Gearbest. I was quite hesitant at first because it's my first time to order from them and the product itself may not justify the descriptions written.

Packaging. So here's my order, AEC BQ- 615 PRO Wireless Bluetooth Speaker. I got it after almost a month that I placed my order. I don't know what took it so long to arrive but it doesn't matter to me since I know that they don't have their warehouse in the Philippines and it requires international shipping. The package arrived in a simple packaging which consists of a speaker and 2 cords- one for charging and the other one as a connector. The speaker looks so simple- about a size of an iPad mini (1 inch smaller, I guess) and in color white. I liked the minimal and clean look.

Because I was so intrigued to hear songs from the speaker I immediately connected the speaker to my phone and iPad. This speaker is surprisingly one of the best bluetooth speaker that I have now. The sound quality is superb as it doesn't break even if I put it in its loudest. The battery life is also long. I'm always using it for 7 hours straight (YES! I'm that addict) everyday and I only charge it when it's showing warning signs of low battery. The LED lights are also entertaining. This speaker honestly surpassed my expectations. I mean for $25, the product is really cheap for a quality worth $50!

I told him to sing for me over the phone! His voice was heard all over the room because of the speakers hahaha!

This speaker matched the wireless microphone that Paulo gave me for Valentine's! Cutieee
